February 8th We had a busy day today, Lexi’s two friends Owen and Grant had their baptisms this morning. Then Lexi had an appointment with my friend Holie to get her baptism photos taken at the temple, they are going to be so dang cute! After picture we ran home and finished setting up Lexi’s early friend birthday party.
✨🫶🏻 In Her 8th Birthday Era!✨🫶🏻 We celebrated this cuties birthday early with some friends. All she has talked about for months is how she wanted to have a Swiftie Par-Tay, so how could I resist? Lexi planned the whole party, she had friendship bracelet making, karaoke, a photo booth and they played charades. Also that cake! My friend Kendra for nailed it!
Later that night one of Lexi’s sweet friends who wasn’t able to come to her party took her out to kiwi loco for ice cream. We are so lucky to have such amazing friends in our circle!
February 10th the girls put their class valentines together and then later that evening we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse with insuring dad to celebrate his birthday!

(Hailey was being too shy for a picture)
After dinner we got Lexi’s baptism photos back from my friend Hollie, they are adorable!! These are just the top 6 that Lexi picked out but there are way too many good ones to post them all.
February 13th Hailey and I had our preschool Valentine’s Day party. The kids were so excited and we had fun making crafts, eating a yummy treat and playing bingo!
February 14th Happy Valentine’s Day! Justin and I got the girls a new shirt, books and bracelet making kits. We had about 5-6 inches of snow over night so school was canceled! Lexi really wanted to go play out in the snow today so Justin helped them make a giant snowman in the backyard! Justin also had the day off and we had made plans to go out to celebrate Valentine’s Day early so we kept our plans and went to see Captain America Brave New World and then we went to Fuji for an early dinner and got delicious sushi. The girls had fun with aunt Dorothy frosting heart sugar cookies, playing toys and watching baking shows with her. We ended the night eating our favorite chocolate dipped strawberries and watching The Amazing Race!
February 16th • E I G H T! • Lexi is officially 8 years old today! Lexi is such a light in our family, she is always trying to make us laugh, she loves her little sister and is such a big helper! She loves school and we’ve learned lately her favorite part of school is “chasing boys.”
As you can see we’ve officially entered our Swiftie era with her, she loves singing her favorite Taylor Swift songs at home, in the car or just randomly while playing in the basement. She can definitely make the whole room shimmer with her sweet smile and infectious laugh.
Her only requests for her actual birthday was breakfast in bed, streamers on her bedroom door and Nachos for dinner. I think we can make that work.
We are so proud of the girl she is and can’t believe she will be getting baptized next month. We love you Lexi! Happy birthday sweet girl!
February 26th I joined Lexi’s second grade class on their field trip to a local Orthodontics office. They had such a fun time!

February 28th Lexi took an intro to pickleball with a few friends. She did really good!
March-
March1st Lexi chose to be baptized today and we couldn’t be prouder of her! It’s bitter sweet watching your kids grow up, I love seeing her grow into the beautiful girl she is but I hate that she isn’t my tiny baby anymore.
Lexi had the best day surrounded by family and friends showing her love and support, we are so grateful to everyone who came to help her celebrate this special day!
Memories: Grandpa Almond and uncle Artie were Lexi’s witnesses for her baptism. Aunt Emily and uncle Logan gave the talk on the Holy Ghost, uncle Brady played her favorite primary song “I Love to See the Temple” on the piano, grandma Almond bore her testimony to Lexi and aunt Chelsea said the closing prayer.
Lexi I hope you never forget the way today felt, how loved you are by your family and friends and our Heavenly Father and Jesus! You are a light and bring so much joy to our family we love you sweet girl!
We had a little breakfast afterwards and I love how cute it all turned out! I have the best friends who let me use their cute decorations today!

Oh my goodness I adore this precious girl! My sweet friend Hollie did an awesome job with Lexi’s baptism photos, it was hard to narrow down our favorites, they were all so darling!
And if today wasn’t special enough Lexi also lost a tooth and got a visit from the tooth fairy!
March 2nd The morning of Lexi’s baptism my mom sadly suffered another seizure leaving her unable to attend Lexi’s baptism. As you can imagine we were devastated as all I wanted was for her to see her oldest grand child get baptized and later receive the Holy Ghost. I am so grateful that by today she was feeling well enough to attend church with us to witness Lexi share her testimony for the first time, which was unplanned and one of my favorite things about this weekend. So all this to say even though yesterday morning didn’t go as I wanted for my sweet mom we were blessed that she was here with us, I will forever cherish these memories and photos! 🤍
Before everyone went home we had to make a trip to our favorite Abracadabra’s for brunch!
March 17th Happy St. Patrick’s Day ☘️ we didn’t catch a leprechaun this year. But he left chocolate gold coins and a box of Lucky Charms for the girls! I did the girls hair in cute 3 leaf clovers this year, it turned it out so good!

After lunch we explored City Square, rode the carousel and played at the splash pad for an hour and a half. After the splash pad we headed to Judd’s candy store and let the girls pick a couple of treats. Before hitting the road we went one last time to Thunder Junction park and let the kids get some energy out, and we rowed the train one last time. Our final stop on the way home was in Lehi to have dinner with my sister and her husband. We went to the place pizza and it was delicious!
Day 6 Thursday March 27th back to reality, Justin had to go to work this morning so the girls and I slept in, then we played at the park with some friends and had lunch. After lunch I let the girls play or watch a show while I caught up on some laundry. Later that evening we took the girl to black light jump at Geronimos with friends. April 19th the girls decorated Easter Eggs with our EggMazing marker set, I truly don’t think I can go back to dying eggs any other way. Haha
April 20th “He is not here, for He is Risen!”
Happy Easter everyone! We are so grateful for our Savior who died for us so we could be a forever family!
The girls were so excited when they woke up it was almost like Christmas morning haha. Lexi and Hailey came in at 7 am to get Justin and I. When we went out to the living room the girls found 2 eggs with a note saying their baskets had been hidden. They were so excited! Lexi’s was hidden in the dryer and Hailey’s was hidden in our pantry. After going through their baskets we read about the resurrection and had cinnamon rolls for breakfast, then we all got ready for church.
We went to our new ward this week as we had a stake and ward realignment recently. We enjoyed music and spiritual messages about our Savior Jesus Christ! 🦋”Have Courage and Be Kind”🦋
This year after watching my girls fall in love with Cinderella at their aunts show I knew our back to school theme had to be from Cinderella. Kindness is always something I drill into my girls heads but I also want them to be courageous too, so this was perfect!
Today the girls and I watched the live action Cinderella, then at dinner we talked about why courage and kindness are so important.
Lexi and Hailey my darling girls, as Cinderella’s mother said so beautifully “You must always remember this: Have courage and be kind, where there is kindness, there is goodness. And when there is goodness, there is magic.”
August 27th First day of School!
📚 First Day of 3rd Grade for Lexi girl! ✏️
She had such a great day with her new teacher and classmates. She was thrilled to learn at back to school night that one of her friends transferred back to our school and that she would have another friend in her class.
When she got home from school today she said her favorite part was having extra recess, “doodle time” and making a new friend!
Here’s to a great year in 3rd grade, which as her shirt says is “her jam!” 🍓

✏️First Day of Kindergarten for Hailey girl!🍎
Not going to lie I was very nervous about today, but as always Hailey thrived! She woke up ready to go and even walked sister to the bus stop since we had to wait for kinder orientation before going to school today.
When Justin and I left her after orientation she gave me the biggest hug and a kiss and ran right into her classroom without looking back. Honestly, I thought I was going to be a wreck today but seeing her courage and excitement helped my nervous momma heart.
After she got home she told me it was “so fun!” Her favorite thing was eating lunch in the cafeteria, seeing big sister throughout the day, making a new friend and riding the bus! (Are we even surprised🤣)? Here’s to lots of learning and fun this year in kindergarten! 🩷

Once the girls finally got home from school we walked home from the bus stop, took a few more photos since they didn’t got to school at the same time today and then enjoyed some yummy cookies while they told me about their day!
August 31st we finished the month off doing a hike with some friends. Sadly 10 minutes in poor Hailey was stung by a wasp, but before that we were having a great time.

September 6th Soccer season started and Lexi and Justin had their first game this morning! Sadly I was so invested I forgot to snap a photo. Their team the “Golden Girls” did so good their first game they won 12-2! Afterwards we headed home to pack up the car and head ti Utah to see Emily in her show!
