My final week at the Daycare

Where do you begin when saying bye to sweet friends and Kids? Well last week was my final week working at the Daycare, it started out like a normal week and it didn't feel like my last week until Tuesday when I found out a few of the kids wouldn't be here the rest of the week. So I made sure that I took some pictures with them pretty quick it hit me as soon as one of the little boys kissed me and said "Thank you Miss Melissa." Instantly I had tears forming and I knew that I was going to miss this place and those kids! Then Wednesday came and I had a few more kids who weren't going to be there the rest of the week, and it just kept getting more real, during lunch Ashley wrote me a message on our white board and I had to get a picture of it with the girls. Haha, they look so sad! It says "Don't leave us Miss Melissa!!" (encase you couldn't read it)
By Thursday I knew that Friday was going to be a really hard day. But I kept a smile on my face and took pictures with all my friends and kids that wanted pictures with me.  Miss Jenn  had her baby the last week and wasn't able to be here but she will be loved and missed!! We got a little carried away but still had a blast! As I left for the night Thursday I wasn't really looking forward to Friday, because if you know me I am very emotional and I knew I was going to have some tears come Friday.

Well that final day had arrived and I got up and started to get ready for work, Justin hugged me before leaving and said "It's you last day babe!" Little did he know I was trying to not bawl my eyes out right then and there. I spent almost a year and a half with most of these kids and with those girls and I wasn't sure how to say bye! But I kept it all together and forced myself to drive to work with no tears. All my attempts were in vain as I pulled into the parking lot and walked towards the door of the daycare. I looked up at the sign and the tears pooled in my eyes, as I walked in the door I was greeted by flowers and candy from my lovely friends and I lost it :) I told you I am emotional! My friend Liesl sent her cute boy over to hug me so I wouldn't cry anymore, but I think my sadness may have made him almost cry and we laughed as I collected myself. As the day went on we had a dance party with the kids, ordered Pier 49 Pizza for the teachers and had cookies with the kids for afternoon snack. As the children started being picked up I was given hugs, flowers, cards, pictures and other gifts! The emotions were getting harder and harder to hide as each child left. It was all so unexpected and I couldn't express how each made me feel! Knowing that I was someone those parents and kids would miss was enough but for them to think of me by bringing gifts or cards congratulating me on my new job meant the world to me. I will never forget those kids, parents or the friends I made. I will always cherish the memories Thank you all for the wonderful times Love you all!

Easter Blessings

I know, I know I am late on posting this! After I did Emily's Birthday post I got a little busy! But better late than never, right!! We have so many Blessings in our life and I try not to take any of them for granted. Friday before Easter we decorated Easter eggs with the nephews and it was so much fun! We tried dyeing them with Kool-Aid instead of the dye you buy from Walmart. They had a blast and the eggs smelled really good thanks to the Kool-Aid :)

This year we were blessed with Nephew #6! Caleb Preston Krahenbuhl, he is such a cutie and his big brother couldn't be happier to have him around. Every time that I've seen him Dillon runs up to me and says, "Do you want to see my baby?" Haha got to love kids and their excitement :)Well Justin's sister Kristin decided to bless baby Caleb on Easter Sunday. What a great day to be with family!

After the blessing Justin and I went to my parents house for dinner before driving back to Pocatello. While we waited for dinner to finish me, Emily and Brook (my future sister in law, that'll be another post) decorated Easter eggs and just hung out with the family

Naturally Justin and Chris were asleep  so this is how they looked when Brook and I woke them up to come have dinner with us. :)

What a fun Easter we had with our Families in Utah! We are so blessed to have each other! Hope you all had a great Easter!! HAPPY EASTER!!

Emily's 13th Birthday

A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!

So this year my baby sister turned 13!! Yikes that means that I am getting old! So naturally I decided hey it would be so much fun for me to throw her and some friends a birthday party. well I was on the phone one day with my mom and we were talking about themes and I came across an Alice in Wonderland themed party! And of course that was the one I went with, a little back story on why. My sister just happens to be one of the most amazing dancers I know, not just saying that. Anyway in her dance company last year she was given the chance to play Alice in her jazz dance. She did such a great job! So of course we couldn't not through this party for her!

It took me a little time but I found some great things on Pinterest (of course) and the dollar store. We had a Mad Hatter Tea Party so I served chicken salad sandwiches, mixed fruits and veggies and we had a yummy sprite and sorbet ice cream punch. The guests were asked to come in their best party dress and their maddest hat! We had a few girls in hats but the rest wore their tea party dresses. I found some fun games online, we played Tabo with words that went with Alice in Wonderland theme, we had a tea cup relay and we played a game where the girls had to go by their mad name. which was their name spelled backwards, anytime someone called the person by their real name they had to draw a card from the deck, the one who drew the queen of hearts won a prize. All in all I think they had a BLAST!

the last part that I was pretty proud of was the Decorations and Photo Booth props Justin and I made. We really had a blast. I just have to say how much I love this sister of mine. She has been such a blessing in my life, I don't know where I would be if she wasn't around. I hope that she had the best 13th Birthday ever! Love you sissy!
