Fourth of July! {Almond Reunion continued}

What a fun few days we've enjoyed in Utah with the Almond clan! Today was our last full day with his family we have to head home tomorrow. But we started our day off by taking some family pictures, our family has gotten so big. I originally scheduled these pictures at a place in Lehi Utah called "Camera Shy" but once they found out we had 16 people the price went up and we canceled the pictures. We luckily were able to find someone to take them last minuet and he did a wonderful job, in fact he took our Almond family pictures last year! Well colors of course are always an issue when it comes to family pictures, and I'll admit I was a little nervous how the pictures were going to turn out but we did a fantastic job. We decided to go with mint, navy, gray and white this year and we all looked great!

We took some pictures outside and then a few inside at his studio, the kids had so much fun playing Mario while we took individual family shots, he had a lot of cool chairs and props........needless to say my "5 year old" (Justin) found a few props of his own...........so I'll share the pictures that came from what he found :)

HAHAHA!! Yep, I am a great wife to let him have these in our family picture album :) but hey at least now I know where he gets his funny laid back personality......................FROM HIS MOM AND DAD! :)

After family pictures we hung out at Kristen's and had some lunch, then we took the kids to Trafalga and played some arcade games and laser tag. It was fun and all but that place was so hot inside that we were all dripping in sweat by the time we got down. So after cooling off in the air conditioned house we had a BBQ and ended the night with some fireworks!

 HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE!!!!!

Almond Family Reunion { at the reservoir and Seven Peaks}

Every year Justin's family likes to get together for a family reunion, this year we picked the 4th of July weekend but sadly Justin was unable to get the weekend off from work so we went 4 days before. But we still had fun, Monday we hung out with his family and went to lunch at Pizza Pie Cafe, then went and bought the food for that week.That night we went to his Brother Matt's house for a BBQ and we had FHE and played baseball. (well the kids played) Tuesday was when the real fun began ;) We went to a reservoir in Eagle Mountain and played in the water with squirt guns and buckets, and later made sand castles. We had so much fun, and luckily my sister Emily got to join us for the fun in the sun! She had so much fun playing with our cute nephews, I think it made her want to be an Auntie even more haha! Later that night we went to Kristen's and had some yummy tacos with his moms homemade guacamole mmmm! And we went outside to watch "How to Train a Dragon" on the projector!

Wednesday Justin and I got up and went to the temple with my parent's and Emily was able to come and do Baptisms, it was so much fun being back in the temple where we were sealed! I love going to the temple with my family, it reminds me of how family's will always be together forever! After the temple we went to lunch at this place called Zupa's it has the best salad I've ever had, as well as soups and sandwiches and the best is dessert a chocolate covered strawberry comes with your meal YUM!! Once lunch was over, we went home and changed and did a little shopping before heading to Seven Peaks to meet Justin's family. We got there before they did and were able to find a shaded area to put all our stuff. Emily and I didn't waste any time getting a tube and hitting a few slides before the rest of his family came. We went down a few slower slides and then on the fastest slide we dunked at the end and Emily landed on me. Haha we couldn't stop laughing! Once his family arrived we went out to the parking lot and had pizza with them, and then it was time to hit the pool and slides again. We had so much fun and the best part is......I didn't sun burn!! Yahoo!

I love family reunions and spending some time in the sun! We really enjoyed our few days with his family and the memories we made and shared. But don't worry, the reunion continued on the 4th of July so here comes my next post. Hope you are enjoying our Adventures as much as we are!
