31 Weeks Baby Girl #2

Hello little one, this weekend we celebrated your dad for Father's Day! He is such a great dad and I can't wait to see the sweet bond you two will share! On Father's Day we Facetimed with my dad Grandpa Pope it was fun to see him and to catch up with him since he is usually working. Then we went to Grandpa and Grandma Almond's house and we all headed to uncle Matt's for a family BBQ. We had steak, potato salad, watermelon and a vegetable tray.  For dessert grandma made her yummy strawberry dessert which you'll learn all about as you get older. :)

We got your dad some of his favorite pretzels and a gift card to Dick's Sporting Goods so he could buy whatever he wanted/needed for his hobbies. We didn't get to attend church this week because they have us split into 3 groups depending on last names so we'll get to go next week. We did our own little lesson at home and got to catch up with some of our friends that had moved away before we went to see the family.

This week you are the size of a coconut 16 1/4 inches and 3 1/4 pounds. We also went to see the progress on our new house, they took off the forms that were helping the foundation and now we are waiting for plumbing and the concrete floors to be poured. I am hoping we are still on track to be able to move in 4 months from now! Fingers crossed!

30 Weeks Baby Girl #2

Hello sweet babe, we’ve had another crazy week that has gotten away from me yet again. Summer is coming and with all this virus stuff I am trying to make the most of it before we possibly have to stay indoors all Fall\winter like we had to March-May.

Exciting news for our family, our home has been started! Last week they dug the hole and poured the walls to our basement. Now we just have to plumb the basement and pour the basement floor and garage floor then the real work starts! Our builder said we’re probably 4 months out which is super exciting!

We had our 30 week doctor appointment and you’re doing great, strong heartbeat and measuring on track. Well at least no one said otherwise so that’s what I am going with haha. This week you are the size of a large cabbage 15 3/4 inches and 3 whole pounds!

29 Weeks Baby Girl #2

Hello little love! This last weekend your dad took a fishing trip with his dad, uncle Matt and your cousins Kaden and Teagon. While they were gone Lexi and I stayed with Grandma Almond and we did some shopping, ate some yummy food, played with your toys and enjoyed each others company! Your dad had so much fun, he said they caught  69 fish and that he caught the biggest one!

This last Sunday June 7, 2020 we were able to attend sacrament meeting again in our meeting house. It was so nice to be able to see some of our ward members. They have our ward split into 3 groups so we will attend every 3rd Sunday unless otherwise specified. I won't lie I am going to miss doing church from home but at the same time I am excited for a full return someday. There has just been such a special spirit in our home these last couple months where we did a more focused home centered church program, I am grateful for our dear prophet and his inspiration to start that this year.

This week you are the size of a butternut squash 2.5 pounds and 15 inches, you have become more and more active especially at night which is why I thought my weekly letter board was so clever. :)

28 Weeks Baby Girl #2

Hello sweet baby, this week has gotten away from me so I am posting this way later than anticipated. We have been busy playing in the sunshine, we were invited over to play with our friends Aria and Cole and your sister had a blast! The kids played in their kiddie pool, their water table and enjoyed playing with each other all afternoon. It was nice for me to just have time to have adult conversations with their mom Ashley.

We got to have dinner with Grandpa and Grandma Almond this weekend and then we went to uncle Matt's house for homemade ice cream and smores! Lexi loves going to uncle Matt's house (as she fondly calls it). Time sure seems to be flying by because we are entering the beginning of June and its crazy to think we'll only have 2 more months before you join our family!

The virus is still going on but at this point we are in phase 3 and more restaurants, businesses and community things are starting to re open. We're still being encouraged to take caution, wear masks if we choose and to of course stay home if we aren't feeling well. I just pray that the hospital rules don't change and that your dad can still go with me for our scheduled c-section in August.

This week you are the size of an eggplant 2 1/4 lbs. and 14 3/4 inches, I can't believe that we are in the final trimester!
