Lexi Anne: First day of Kindergarten

8.24.22

Today is your first day of Elementary school, I can’t believe  you are already a Kindergartener! You woke up both excited and nervous for your first day, but once we started getting ready for school you got more excited.

I bought you a cute “Hello Kindergarten” t-shirt and for us matching bracelets to wear so you had a piece of me with you all day. You really wanted to take the bus but I insisted on taking you so I could soak in every minute!

This year your teachers are Mrs. Hall and Ms. Davenport, we’re so lucky to have them as our teachers! You have Grant and Andi in your class too which you are very excited about!

You are going to have the best year and will learn and grow so much Lexi, we love you!

Family Back to School Night

 8.23.22

It’s back to school time! Dad and I still can’t believe you’re going into kindergarten but you are so ready! This year our back to school night theme is “Knowledge is Power” and I decorated with super hero stuff! It turned out so cute, we had a BBQ for dinner with hamburgers, corn on the cob, fries and jello. After dinner we played some fun super hero themed games and before bed dad gave you a sweet Fathers blessing!

We’re so excited to see what you learn this year Lexi, don’t forget how much we love you!

Hailey Jane: Two Years Old

 July 25, 2022

Hailey today you’re officially 2 years old, we have had such a fun summer that it snuck up on us this year. But we still made it the best day for you! Since you like Elmo and Sesame Street so much (like big sis did) I decided to decorate our shelf with some of your favorite characters. Pinterest of course was my inspiration help, and yet again it didn’t let me down. I used sole streamers, cut out clip art of Elmo, Abby, Big Bird and Cookie Monster. I made another 123 Sesame Street lamp and my friend had given me a few gold 2 balloons so I used that too. It all turned out so cute!

For your birthday this year we invited a few friends to join us for lunch and cupcakes At McDonald’s. You were so excited for cupcakes you almost wouldn’t eat lunch. You were spoiled by your sweet friends with some fun gifts, one of my favorites was an iridescent small backpack! After lunch you took a nap and then we took you and Lexi into the childrens clinic to have you weighed, you weigh 24 lbs. 1 oz.

After the clinic we went to aunts Dorothy’s for you to open your gifts from her and grandma Almond, you got a cute puppy carrier and vet set from grandma, and a cute dress, Minnie Mouse toys and treats from aunt Dorothy. Then we picked up pizza and ice cream and ran to the pool as a family.

We sure love you sweet girl! Happy Birthday Hailey!

Lexi's Birthday: Utah Trip and Disney On Ice

03.04.22-03.06.22

We were finally able to celebrate Lexi's birthday with her Birthday experience gift. She really wanted to go to Utah and stay in a hotel so we could swim and use the hot tub, and then I picked Disney on Ice for her because I knew she would love seeing all the characters and lets be honest its cheaper than Disneyland (even though I'd go there tomorrow if I could). We included my parents and two of my three siblings and spouse because its more fun in numbers! My parents and Justin and I stayed at the Marriot Inn in South Jordan and they had a big hot tub and pool to play in, the pool water was freezing but the hot tub was perfect. Lexi had a blast playing with aunt Emily, uncle Logan and uncle Brady in the pool, while Hailey just enjoyed floating on her back in the warmth of the hot tub. :)

Saturday we spent the morning with my parents and went to Scheels sporting good store where we took Lexi on a ferris wheel ride and bought her her first pair of soccer cleats, shin guards and ball for spring soccer. Then we took Hailey to aunt Kristin's house for a nap while the rest of us headed to Salt Lake for Disney on Ice. It was so much fun! Lexi was so excited the whole time, the minute Mickey and Minnie Mouse entered the Ice she sat up in her seat with the biggest smile on her face. Of course, me being me I started to cry a bit, but seriously its memories like these that I will cherish forever, and I hope that my kids will too. Lexi wore her Queen Else dress and had me do her hair in  an "Elsa braid" shekept asking where Ana and Elsa were and when they finally came out on the ice she was ecstatic!! Such a great weekend with our wonderful family!

Lexi Anne: 5 Years Old

 2.16.22

Lexi it is so hard to believe that it’s already been 5 years! You are such a sweet and spunky little girl, you love to learn and play! When you’re not at school or playing you can be found watching Paw Patrol, Scooby Doo or PJ Masks. You did your first semester of gymnastics and started a new dance class, you are such a beautiful dancer!

This year we are going to Disney on Ice as our family experience gift in March and we are all so excited! Grandpa and Grandma Pope, Logan and Emily and uncle Brady will be joining us and we are thrilled! So of course I went with a snow theme for your decorations and it turned out so cute!

For your birthday we did our pizza movie night (something new I instigated) we ordered pizza and you picked out your very own slice of cake. We usually get together with your dads side of the family but this year grandma had her knee replaced and aunt Kristin’s family went to Moab so it was just us. We invited aunt Dorothy over for dinner and she was so kind and got you some Paw Patrol toys you were thrilled! For our movie we took you to the library and you checked out a Scooby Doo movie and we made popcorn. All in all I think it was a great night with family!

Happy Birthday sweet girl, I hope you always remember how loved you are by all of us!

Hailey Jane: 18 Months

 January 25, 2022

Sweet Hailey I can’t believe you are already a year and a half, with the holidays it really snuck up on me. You have had a crazy 6 months since I posted about your first birthday. You started taking steps for the first time on September 30th!! On October 11th you fell off our couch while I was putting your coat on you and little did I know you had fractured your tibia and your fibula was at a right angle. I didn’t know for 3 whole days! You tough baby!! You had to get a cast and you wore that until November 15th, the doctor said it was still bent but once you started to walk on it that would help it heal. I am happy to report that one week later you were walking all by yourself and haven’t seemed to have any issues! Yay!!

You continue to be our tiny girl, you don’t have a doctors appointment until the end of February so I don’t know your current height and weight but in comparison to other kids your age you’re just so cute and petite. You love music and will shake your little booty and slowly head bang to music. It’s hilarious and cute all at the same time! You have started to like books a little more recently, before this you didn’t seem to like sitting through the whole book before wanting something else. But now you’ll bring us books  and sit while we read them. Your love to talk in your own way, you say some words like momma, dad, nana(banana), wow, ball and the other day I heard you shh your baby doll while playing.

Your sister continues to be your best friend, you are constantly giving her loves whenever you see her, I just love the special bond you two have! You are wearing mostly size 18 month clothes some 12 month here and there, you are in size 4 diapers and you take one long nap in the afternoons. Once again happy to report that your beautiful red hair is staying!!! I love it!! We still get stopped all the time to ask about your hair and who it comes from, you get lots of attention. You don’t seem to mind because you wave to those who stop is to talk to us haha. Mommy got put in as primary President before Christmas so that means you got to start going to nursery sooner than the end of this month. You did good your first day (January 2nd) until daddy came to pick you up then you got really sad! Sadly because of the virus and other sicknesses our stake has only been doing sacrament meeting no second hour classes so you haven’t been in 2 weeks. I am hoping we go back soon!!

We sure love you sweet girl, thanks for joining our family we couldn’t imagine our family without you! Love you!
