Lexi Anne: First Day Of 1st Grade

 August 23rd

Lexi, today is your first day of 1st grade! You had such a great day, luckily you  had a bunch of friends in your  class from last year, so you were so excited for that. This year your teacher is Mrs. Bryant, we have been so lucky the past 2 school years to personally know your teachers.

You didn’t want me to take you, you wanted to ride the bus, but I insisted on taking you. This year daddy was able to join us, I can’t believe how grown up you  look every time I drop you off at school.

After school we did our tradition of cookies, milk and chatting about your big day! You told me you had so much fun but that your favorite part of the day was being with me eating those cookies. You sure know how to melt my momma heart. Sure love you Lexi girl!

Here’s to a great year!

Family Back To School Night

 Back to school dinner 2023

It’s that time of year again, our theme this year is “Let Your Light Shine.” Lexi is so excited to be in 1st grade and Hailey will love preschool once we get started in September.

To go along with our theme I got each girl their own little flashlight and wrote them a little note just to let them know how much we love them. The theme idea came to me while I was perusing Hobby Lobby, in their teacher section they had those cute light bulb banners in a 2 pack. All the other decor came from ideas off Pinterest that I printed and then I found yellow plates and a table cloth at Walmart.

Tonight I asked each girl what they are excited for most and Lexi said playing on the blacktop with all the big kids and Hailey said filling the basket with apples. Not sure where that came from. (Haha) Justin face them each a beautiful back to school fathers blessing, I am so grateful for the power of the priesthood in our home. Can’t wait to see what this school year brings for them!

Hailey Jane: 3 Years Old

July 25, 2023

Hailey Jane you are officially 3 years old today! We celebrated a little early this year with Grandpa and Grandma Almond. On Sunday the 23rd we had a family ice cream bar at our house, first we had a yummy dinner and then we pulled out all the ice cream and fun toppings

On your actual birthday you and Lexi had your final swim lesson at the Rec. Center. After swim we had planned to rush home and have you open up your presents so dad could see, but we got out later than anticipated so he met us in the Costco parking lot. (Haha) We had you open your gift from us in the trunk of my car, yuh were so excited that it was the Bluey house! Grandpa and Grandma Pope got you a fun electric 4 wheeler to ride this summer and aunt Kristin crocheted a blanket for you.

After nap time we went to get ice cream just us girls, and then we picked out your birthday cake. For dinner that night I made you corn dogs, because they are your new favorite food then we hung out at home the rest of the evening.

The next evening we celebrated your birthday and went as a family to Lava Hot Springs pool, and we just happened to go the same night as some of our friends, it was so fun!

Happiest birthday sweet girl! We love you!
