Happy Halloween!

 Normally I hate to carve pumpkins, so this year I painted it with Justin to look like a Ninja Turtle and Liesl, Clint and Koston joined us and carved a pumpkin.

We decorated our cubical's as well, my co-worker Amy spearheaded the whole idea and it turned out fantastic!For work we dress up and create a video to go with what we dressed as, the Recruiting team dressed up as Ninja Turtles

Since I already had a costume Justin and I decided that for the first year since we got married we would dress up as the same thing. I love couple costumes they are so fun! Justin and I made the shells for all of the costumes and we found t-shirts online for the rest of the costume. They turned out really great!

 We had a party at work for my co-worker Michelle's anniversary, everyone brought some fun treats to share. I think my favorite was the meatloaf rats that Jann made for everyone.

That night we went Trick-or-Treating with our good friends Liesl, Clint and Koston. And on Friday night we had a Halloween party at our friends DJ and Jenny's house. We all dressed up and then went on a Halloween scavenger hunt. We had a great Halloween.

It's a BOY!!.....Hosted my first baby shower

This fall I got to host my first baby shower! One of my best friends Liesl is having another little boy! I wanted to throw her a diaper shower so that she could have the essentials since she had baby stuff already! It was such a blast, the girls from the Daycare helped me put this all together.

We played a couple fun baby shower games, "what's in your purse" and the candy bar game. I found the idea on Pinterest of course :) All the decorations were handmade, Ashely made the cute Jett banner, Kylie made a delicious hot cocoa and Sandy made the best food ever! Thanks girls couldn't have done it without you!

It's Fall!!

It's my favorite season, FALL! We decided to get out one Sunday and take a much needed walk.. I love seeing the leaves change colors and the cool air that comes with it. I think it's probably my favorite season because I get to accessorize my wardrobe a little more. Boots, scarves and colored skinny jeans my favorite.

 Don't you just love all the beautiful colors and this scenery! One thing I miss the most about Utah is the Mountains. I used to drive up the canyon this time and year and look at all the colors and leafs.

Who's 25?.....Oh that would be ME!

WEll, I know I am a little behind on posting, but to catch everyone up before the year ends i'll post somethings we've been up too. This year I turned 25!! On my birthday my best friend ashley made me my favorite german chocolate cake and decorated my house super cute! Some of our wonderful friends came over and we had cake and ice cream :)

Justin surprised me with a weekend get a way to idaho falls, we went to the temple, had lunch at olive garden, visited the zoo and shopped till we both dropped. we stayed the night at a beautiful hotel room and I got to spend the whole weekend with the love of my life.

My parents and i have september birthday's. i normally make it to utah to spend it with them, but this year they came to us! my mom made our favorite german chocolate cake (twice in one month....jack pot!) couldn't have asked for a better birthday!

Fourth of July! {Almond Reunion continued}

What a fun few days we've enjoyed in Utah with the Almond clan! Today was our last full day with his family we have to head home tomorrow. But we started our day off by taking some family pictures, our family has gotten so big. I originally scheduled these pictures at a place in Lehi Utah called "Camera Shy" but once they found out we had 16 people the price went up and we canceled the pictures. We luckily were able to find someone to take them last minuet and he did a wonderful job, in fact he took our Almond family pictures last year! Well colors of course are always an issue when it comes to family pictures, and I'll admit I was a little nervous how the pictures were going to turn out but we did a fantastic job. We decided to go with mint, navy, gray and white this year and we all looked great!

We took some pictures outside and then a few inside at his studio, the kids had so much fun playing Mario while we took individual family shots, he had a lot of cool chairs and props........needless to say my "5 year old" (Justin) found a few props of his own...........so I'll share the pictures that came from what he found :)

HAHAHA!! Yep, I am a great wife to let him have these in our family picture album :) but hey at least now I know where he gets his funny laid back personality......................FROM HIS MOM AND DAD! :)

After family pictures we hung out at Kristen's and had some lunch, then we took the kids to Trafalga and played some arcade games and laser tag. It was fun and all but that place was so hot inside that we were all dripping in sweat by the time we got down. So after cooling off in the air conditioned house we had a BBQ and ended the night with some fireworks!

 HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE!!!!!

Almond Family Reunion { at the reservoir and Seven Peaks}

Every year Justin's family likes to get together for a family reunion, this year we picked the 4th of July weekend but sadly Justin was unable to get the weekend off from work so we went 4 days before. But we still had fun, Monday we hung out with his family and went to lunch at Pizza Pie Cafe, then went and bought the food for that week.That night we went to his Brother Matt's house for a BBQ and we had FHE and played baseball. (well the kids played) Tuesday was when the real fun began ;) We went to a reservoir in Eagle Mountain and played in the water with squirt guns and buckets, and later made sand castles. We had so much fun, and luckily my sister Emily got to join us for the fun in the sun! She had so much fun playing with our cute nephews, I think it made her want to be an Auntie even more haha! Later that night we went to Kristen's and had some yummy tacos with his moms homemade guacamole mmmm! And we went outside to watch "How to Train a Dragon" on the projector!

Wednesday Justin and I got up and went to the temple with my parent's and Emily was able to come and do Baptisms, it was so much fun being back in the temple where we were sealed! I love going to the temple with my family, it reminds me of how family's will always be together forever! After the temple we went to lunch at this place called Zupa's it has the best salad I've ever had, as well as soups and sandwiches and the best is dessert a chocolate covered strawberry comes with your meal YUM!! Once lunch was over, we went home and changed and did a little shopping before heading to Seven Peaks to meet Justin's family. We got there before they did and were able to find a shaded area to put all our stuff. Emily and I didn't waste any time getting a tube and hitting a few slides before the rest of his family came. We went down a few slower slides and then on the fastest slide we dunked at the end and Emily landed on me. Haha we couldn't stop laughing! Once his family arrived we went out to the parking lot and had pizza with them, and then it was time to hit the pool and slides again. We had so much fun and the best part is......I didn't sun burn!! Yahoo!

I love family reunions and spending some time in the sun! We really enjoyed our few days with his family and the memories we made and shared. But don't worry, the reunion continued on the 4th of July so here comes my next post. Hope you are enjoying our Adventures as much as we are!

5 Down an ETERNITY to Go!

May is such a great month not only because it's the beginning of spring but because it is our Anniversary month. As I explained in my Valentines day post February and May are special months for Justin and I. They help me remember how truly lucky I am to have found that one person who truly completes me. {Corny I know} but hey it's love, I have the right to be corny. So May 15th came and we celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary. Ya that's right I said 5 years!! Wahoo!! So proud of us, now you might look at us and think wow they have a perfect marriage. Well most days yes :) but it's always been our goal to work hard and make time for each other. If I had to pick a motto for us, I would say it would be "Always and Forever." Not just because it's engraved in my ring but it's how we truly feel about each other and our marriage. I Love Justin for many reasons but in spirit of us reaching 5 years I am going to say 5 reasons I love him. 1. He is always here for me. 2. Makes me laugh. 3. He always helps me be a better person. 4.He works hard. 5. He loves me!

Well so I tried to be cute and make breakfast in bed but that plan failed miserably. Justin had gone to be late and could hardly open his eyes to eat with me before I had to run off to work, buy hey it was worth a shot :)

Anyway we didn't celebrate as much on our actual anniversary, I had to work but was pleasantly surprised when Justin showed up to my work with the traditional dozen long stem red roses from Costco, they are always so beautiful and I just love him for thinking about me. I have to share a funny story about when he brought them to me at work. My co worker was on a phone interview and muted his phone to take the time to see if we wanted him to take a picture. Well if you know me I can get a little shy sometimes and I got a little embarrassed and told him no that we were okay, but he persisted until Justin awkwardly posed next to me in my cubical and we let him take our picture. Haha well he sent the picture to me and it is now proudly displayed on my desktop at work to always remember that moment :) {side note my job is the best ever! the end!!}

 After I got home from work Justin took me out to dinner at Ruby Tuesday's and we sort of had bad luck, it had started out a beautiful day outside and the plan was to enjoy dinner out on their patio but when we got to the restaurant it started to get windy and there was a  few sprinkles of rain. So we ate inside, well more bad luck followed as there was a huge reunion going on for a company of retired elderly people. So we waited a bit longer then normal for our meal. But can't complain to much because it was great to spend time with my man! So all in all it was a great Anniversary. But it's not over yet.That weekend we went to Park City Utah and stayed in the most beautiful hotel room ever! I took Justin to the outlet mall since he had never been there and we had lunch at this old fashioned pizza shop that was probably the best pizza I've had in a long time! That night we staying in for dinner which I cooked {I know typically you should go out but we did on our actual anniversary} then after dinner we hit the hot tub and roasted marshmallows and had smores. It was so beautiful there, but bad weather as it snowed the day we left but at least we missed the snow!! Happy Anniversary sweetheart! I am looking forward to ETERNITY! "Always and Forever"
