Our Summer Adventures

Well summer came and then it went! Kind of like this year so far, am I right?! Maybe it is just me but it feels like we just started the year, where did all the time go? Well our summer wasn't too shabby, we didn't do much but what we did do was fun! We were finally able to go camping this year and bonus we made it more than once!

Memorial Weekend camping trip
We went to Camp Walcott with some great friends, it was a blast. The first trip we camped over night since it was Memorial day weekend. {I count that as the start of summer} We went disc golfing and ate delicious food. Afterwards we played "Warewolf" which is like"Mafia"{if you know that game} anyway its a card game, you should definitely play if you haven't already! It was a lot of fun!

Concert On the Quad
Justin's cousin's band played at our local college so we of course went to show our support. We also got to watch another band preform and they did a great job as well!

Seven Peaks
This year we renewed our pass of all passes for Seven Peaks, we were sadly only able to make it once this year! But we did get to spend those few hours with my parents. We rode our favorite tube rides, and tried a new slide for my parents. We call in the toilet bowl but I dont know the real name haha! It was a lot of fun, maybe next year we can get their more than once.

Georgetown Canyon
For our second camping trip we went with Justin's parents and some extended family to George town. It was a lot of fun, we got to sleep in their fifth wheel {um yes this counts as camping to us}. We were lucky they brought the fifth wheel because it was a cold and rainy weekend. We were freezing! But it was still a blast, we got to eat yummy food, ride dirt bike and four wheelers and enjoy a beautiful view. If you can believe it that was my first time riding a dirt bike!

Real Salt Lake Game
We got to see our very first Real Salt Lake soccer games this September. It was so much fun! We went with a huge group of friends! Our trip started with shopping in Salt Lake just me and the hubs, after that we joined almost everyone for dinner at the Red Iguana and took the tracks to the stadium. So we figured that taking the tracks would save on traffic but....we forgot that Comic Con was also in Salk Lake. So we had quite a few long stops and then ran into technical issues and they had to have everyone get off the train. But after being 15 minuets late we made it to the game. But it was worth it what a fun experience. They beat FC Dallas 2 to 1 Wahoo!

Little Man Baby Shower #2

Okay so don't judge I have forgotten to update for a few months. This March I threw another baby shower.I have been so lucky to have two amazing friends allow me to host baby showers for them. My sweet friend Ali is having a little boy! So naturally I jumped at asking her to allow me to through the shower for her. She was such a sweetie she helped me out so much! I asked her to pick a theme and some colors....hold on to your computers, tablets or whatever you are using to read this because this shower was pretty adorable! {If we do say so ourselves :)} So she decided to go with navy, grey white and yellow. I kept hearing how she would call her sweet baby little man so of course we used that as our theme! So it became a little man baby shower, with mustaches and bow ties! I can barely wait til you see the decorations!!

We had lots of yummy food Ali and I made some awesome yummy sugar cookies that look like mustaches, I made a bow tie pasta salad to go along with the theme and Ali's grandma was sweet enough to not only let us use her house but she prepared some snacks as well.

All of the decorations were made by Ali and I, like I said she is such a sweetie! She helped make all the bow ties that we used for a game, we worked on the "Little Man" banner together and she helped make the circle cut outs we hung from the ceiling. The pictures are above and a little hard to see but super cute!

The only surprise was this pretty awesome "Who's Stache" game I found on Pinterest! yes I spend a lot of time on there but hey when you have a passion for party throwing like I do its necessary to have a party board! We had such a fun time and I am so glad that I got to help this sweet friend of mine have a wonderful baby shower! Thanks to all who came and supported her!

{ I L-O-V-E Y-O-U } Always Have Always Will.

6 years ago today my best friend asked me to be his wife! Wow has the time flown by, you know the cute quote "Loved you yesterday, love you still, always have and always will?" Well that truly is how I feel about Justin. These past 6 years have been a journey, we have had our share of ups and downs; laughs and tears. But I wouldn't change them for the world! I don't know where I would be without my best friend and husband. He has been a huge support to me, I am one lucky girl! And I am not saying this just because it is the day before Valentines Day, I truly mean it.

I will never forget the day we met, we were both 19 right out of High School and still trying to find out what we wanted to do with our lives. I had just moved to Idaho from Utah and was so nervous about starting a new journey on my own. One Sunday afternoon this cute ginger{our joke}came up and started talking to me. Before I knew it he was bribing me with Dove Caramel Chocolates to sit with him in Sunday school. After that my life would never be the same. We were inseparable, we went on our first date to see "Enchanted" {if you know me I love Disney}. It took Justin until about 15 minuets to the end of the movie to finally hold my hand :) Well he must have really liked me because ever since then we were a couple. Spending every night together, day dreaming of the lives we would love to have, how many kids we wanted etc. Then on February 13, 2008 Justin popped the question and we have been happy ever since. Love you sweetie!

Tis' The Season

The Christmas season sort of snuck up on Justin and I, probably because we were so busy with school and work. It's sad because I love this time of year, the pretty lights, decorating the tree and our tiny apartment. It'll be gone before we know it.
This year we got our tree up on December 1st and enjoyed every minute of it. We watched almost every favorite Christmas Movie and got to babysit our good friends little boy while they were in the hospital having their baby. So we had a little visitor from the North Pole stay one night with us.
I think that Justin and I were more excited about the visitor than Koston was, but we still had a blast with it. My work gave us free tickets to the Festival of Trees so Justin and I went with our good friends Nathan and Ashley Stokes (somehow we didn't get a picture with them)

5....or 25.....you decide :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! To my handsome 5...I mean 25 year old husband!! This year I decided to throw Justin a surprise party. Now I couldn't just do a normal party it had to be themed.(I just say I am practicing for when I have kids, but we all know it's because I find it fun) I decided to choose a Lego theme. I had heard a friend talk about how her good friend threw a Lego theme for her husband and I knew this would be perfect for mine. Justin and I joke around about how we don't need kids because I live with a 5 year old, but who am I kidding with this cute guy who wouldn't want even cuter kiddos ;) Well anyway, I of course found my inspiration on Pinterest.(as Justin would say "that's all she does, looks at Pinterest" LIES!!) We had a great turn out. Justin's parents happened to be in town so they came with his Aunt and Grandma, and a bunch of our good friends were able to help us celebrate. I think the highlight of my night was seeing Justin's totally surprised face when we all yelled "SURPRISE!" Best night party ever!! We had Lego decor, and my parents let me borrow their tubs of Legos for us to play with. Hope you had a fabulous Birthday sweetie! Love you!

Happy Halloween!

Normally I hate to carve pumpkins, so this year I painted it with Justin to look like a Ninja Turtle and Liesl, Clint and Koston joined us and carved a pumpkin.

We decorated our cubical's as well, my co-worker Amy spearheaded the whole idea and it turned out fantastic! For work we dress up and create a video to go with what we dressed as, the Recruiting team dressed up as Ninja Turtles

Since I already had a costume Justin and I decided that for the first year since we got married we would dress up as the same thing. I love couple costumes they are so fun! Justin and I made the shells for all of the costumes and we found t-shirts online for the rest of the costume. They turned out really great!

We had a party at work for my co-worker Michelle's anniversary, everyone brought some fun treats to share. I think my favorite was the meatloaf rats that Jann made for everyone.

That night we went Trick-or-Treating with our good friends Liesl, Clint and Koston. And on Friday night we had a Halloween party at our friends DJ and Jenny's house. We all dressed up and then went on a Halloween scavenger hunt. We had a great Halloween.
